About Rhapsody
RHAPSODY，这支意大利的Power Metal乐队现在已经是一个炙手可热的名字。乐队的灵魂人物就是它的创始人，也是乐队主要的词曲作者--吉他手Luca Turilli，意大利人，72年出生，从16岁开始弹吉他，其风格深受古典作曲家Vivaldi，Paganini，Bach的影响，在他的领导下，RHAPSODY不断地演奏出一首首新生力量的金属狂想曲。
->RHAPSODY的故事从1993年开始，Luca决定自己组建一支力量型的交响金属乐队。首先加入的两个人是键盘手Alex Staropoli和鼓手Daniele Carbonera，这三个人的乐队叫做THUNDERCROSS。Staropoli本身学的是古典乐，在钢琴上受过严格正规的训练，是Luca得力的左膀右臂，有了他的加盟，乐队的键盘表现力更趋完美，灵感也愈加层出不穷。但由于还没有合适的主唱，Luca有时候就自己作为乐队的主唱。一年以后，乐队的第一张小样Land Of Immortals发行，此时的主唱是请来了Cristiano Adacher担任 ，另外还有贝斯手Andrea。
这张小样马上就引起了Limb Music Products & Publishing 公司的注意，一份合同摆在了乐队面前。这一切看起来还不错，于是乐队决定接受这份合同 ，并更名为RHAPSODY，这个名字更符合他们日后的音乐风格。在公司为乐队配备了更加精良的设备后，乐队马上投入到Eternal Glory这张小样的录制中，其中包括以前Land of Immortals小样中的歌曲以及三首新歌。这张小样的发表给RHAPSODY带来了极高的赞誉：美国Power Metal杂志Sentinel Steel这样评价RHAPSODY:"如此恢弘的交响速度金属超越了现存的几乎所有音乐，RHAPSODY绝对是天才！"希腊Singing Swords杂志这样写到："语言无法描述这张伟大的作品，想象一支乐队把Helloween式的Power Metal,巴洛克时期的音乐氛围，以及史诗般宏伟的音乐旋律再加上华丽的歌词熔为一体，这是我所能想象的完美乐队！"而Artifact Metal 杂志则认为"这真是太让人惊奇了！如果是以CD发行的话，我想它应该是10分"。正是从这里开始，RHAPSODY的音乐天分逐步展现了出来，一步步走向后续的辉煌。当然也有不好的消息，那就是歌手Cristiano和贝斯手Andrea在这张小样之后离开了乐队，不过塞翁失马，焉知非福？
现在乐队又回到了最初的三人阵容，没有了主音歌手可是个头疼的问题，不过很快问题就有了答案--Fabio Lione。这位在LABYRINTH时就以干净漂亮的嗓音而闻名的主唱加入了RHAPSODY。在此四人基础上，终于可以开始录制乐队的第一张正式专辑Legendary Tales，由著名的制作人Sascha Paeth (Heavens Gate)担纲制作，并客串贝斯手，录制于德国Wolfsburg的Gate-Studio录音室。1997年这张专辑的发行正如预期的那样取得了空前的成功，因为那些忠实的Power Metal歌迷已经等的太久。这张专辑将RHAPSODY带到了一个全新的境界，以前所有艰苦的努力都获得了丰厚的回报，RHAPSODY俨然已经成为新一代的Symphonic Power Metal的领导者--也许从一开始，他们就注定将会成为一支伟大的乐队。
仅仅一年之后，98年的10月RHAPSODY带来了他们的第二张专辑Symphony Of Enchanted Lands，在这里出现了一张新面孔，他就是乐队的新任贝斯手Alessandro Lotta。这张专辑有着比上一张专辑更多的古典元素，并且大大加重了键盘在音乐中的份量，这使得这张专辑对一些歌迷来说听起来偏软，但是还是有很多人喜欢RHAPSODY的这种改变，并且认为这才是RHAPSODY到目前为止最好的专辑。这张专辑在德国排行榜上达到了54名，在别的国家也取得不俗的成绩，到目前为止已经销售了25万张。
1999年对RHAPSODY来说是相对比较平静的一年，但是Luca并没有在度假，他已经在酝酿一张以个人名义发行的唱片King Of The Nordic Twilight，制作人还是老搭档Sascha Paeth和Miro。这是一张完全Luca个人化的专辑，其音乐较之RHAPSODY更重，更丰满，我个人认为这张才是Luca最好的作品，以吉他为主导的交响力量金属。同年Fabio也发行了一张自己的个人专辑，而鼓手Daniele Carbonera则离开了RHAPSODY,取而代之的是Alex Holzwarth。随后RHAPSODY重新集结起来首次踏上征程，与STRATOVARIUS，SONATA ARCTICA一道进行巡回演出。
2000年11月，RHAPSODY的第三张专辑Dawn Of Victory发行。这张专辑在商业上比他们以前的专辑更为成功:在德国的排行榜上达到了32名，甚至在荷兰到了第4的位置。Dawn Of Victory的音乐显然比上一张专辑更具有进攻性，不过基本上还是延续了他们以往的风格，出于对好莱坞电影音乐的喜爱，RHAPSODY经常将真实的管弦乐队编入他们本已豪华瑰丽的音乐中，这支意大利乐队称自己的这种独特风格为好莱坞金属(Hollywood Metal)，估计是好莱坞的大片看多了。但无论叫他们什么，RHAPSODY的日益强大是显而易见的。
在RHAPSODY的下一张专辑到来之前，乐队当然不会冷落了如此爱戴他们的歌迷。2001年乐队发行了一张名为Rain Of A Thousand Flames的MCD。Luca解释道:"这个想法其实早就有了，不过我不想把它做成类似一首新歌加一堆歌迷早就知道的老歌的那种玩意儿，我要让歌迷觉得物有所值。"的确是物有所值，40多分钟的长度足以说明这一切，另外值得注意的是在这张MCD中首次使用了意大利语，Luca对此的解释是此时用母语更能准确直接地表达自己的音乐理念。目前，乐队正在Gate-Studio录制他们的全新专辑，预计2002年2月底发行。至于是否还会像以前那样轰动，我相信RHAPSODY这个名字就是品质的保证。
